Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, International Broadband Electric Communications, Inc. (IBEC) is a leading full-service provider of broadband-over-power line (BPL) Internet access solutions and services. In December 2003 IBEC acquired Cybrtyme, Inc., an established full-service ISP founded in 1995, thus allowing IBEC to offer complete turnkey BPL solutions along with its other full-service ISP solutions to electric utilities nationwide.

IBEC's BPL system provides broadband Internet access, internal electric utility SmartGrid services, and enhanced Homeland Security services via the existing electrical power system.
